The actual legal name of my business is Plants In The Hood because part of my mission is to make plants accessible in all the hoods of Chicago.
It is also really important for me that in addition to sharing the power of plants, that I also support organizations that are doing good in the hood.
I was originally going to start choosing a cause to champion every month beginning with January 2021 but the opportunity has come about to partner with Plants Delivered Chicago’s “Feeding People Through Plants” initiative to raise funds for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
So, we are jumping it off now!
The Greater Chicago Food depository has always been one of my main charities of choice.
They are a hub for a network of more than 700 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other program that serve to “take hunger off the table”.
